This opportunity is for the position of Host(ess) at Perkins. As a Host(ess), you will play a crucial role in shaping the guest experience by providing friendly and efficient service according to Perkins policies and performance standards. Your responsibilities will include greeting and seating guests, managing the waiting list, handling payments accurately, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the reception and dining areas. The role requires a personable and professional demeanor, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Job Requirements
- High level of mobility and flexibility
- Ability to work irregular hours under heavy stress and pressure during peak times

- Ability to lift and carry trays weighing up to 20 pounds for distances up to 30 feet
- Ability to fit through a 30 inch wide opening
- Frequent reaching bending pushing and pulling
- Exposure to heat steam smoke cold and odors

Job Qualifications
- Basic skills such as sanitation safety and customer service learned through in-house training
- Trustworthy and able to be relied upon for handling guest payments and cash registers
- Must communicate clearly
- Ability to provide friendly and efficient guest service
Job Duties
- Report to work well groomed in proper and clean uniform and practice good personal hygiene
- Use greeting seating and waiting list procedures
- Handle cash credit card information gift cards and all payment related tasks properly
- Maintain cleanliness standards and stock reception area and restrooms
- Accurately process all guest checks with no cash overages or shortages
- Anticipate identify and correct system breakdowns to achieve maximum guest satisfaction
- Provide assistance to pantry maintenance and pre-rush organization
- Assist all servers and bus persons to execute Perkins service standards
- Use proper cash handling procedures for cash and non-cash transactions and ensure cash register area is stocked
- Communicate with Manager on Duty and co-workers regarding product or service deficiencies equipment safety problems
- Monitor and oversee food temperatures during handling to reduce risk of food borne illness
- Have sufficient knowledge of menu and bakery products to execute suggestive selling techniques and sampling programs with guests
- Maintain cleanliness of bakery cases and restock products
- Bag and box products according to standards
