The role of the Hostess at the Club is central to delivering a superior dining experience. This position is responsible for managing the Club's dining room operations, making sure that each member and guest is greeted warmly and seated promptly. The Hostess manages reservations, organizes table layouts, and facilitates smooth seating arrangements to optimize guest flow and comfort. In addition to welcoming members, the Hostess supports servers and bussers by assisting with various needs such as providing bread, butter, and water, as well as resetting tables efficiently. This role demands a professional yet friendly demeanor, embracing the Club’s mission of "Service with a Smile" to ensure every guest leaves with a positive and memorable experience.

The Hostess plays a crucial role in maintaining order within the dining areas by directing traffic to dining rooms and other sections of the Club, ensuring safety and efficiency. Keeping menus clean and updated is part of the daily duties, along with managing mint jars and ensuring the hosting station remains organized and tidy. This role also involves participating in pre-meal meetings led by the Food and Beverage Manager or Manager on Duty to stay informed of any changes or special instructions. The Hostess position requires punctuality, flexibility with working hours, and the physical stamina to manage the demands of the role, including long periods of standing and walking, as well as occasional lifting. While supervisory responsibilities are not a requirement, the Hostess must be proactive in problem-solving and continuously seek ways to improve service and operational procedures. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in the hospitality industry preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Customer service oriented
  • Ability to plan, organize, and follow procedures effectively

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a similar role or industry is a plus

  • Ability to develop conceptual alternatives
  • Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of Club operations
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Flexibility to work shifts and overtime if necessary

Job Duties

  • Takes reservations and assists in organizing tables and room layout according to reservations
  • Greets and seats members as they arrive to the Club
  • Bring menus to members
  • Assists servers and bussers with anything they need such as bread, butter, water, reset tables
  • Directs flow of traffic to dining rooms and other areas of the Club
  • Maintains all menus, ensuring they are clean and current
  • Thanks members and guests, invites them to return
  • Keeps mint jars stocked for members
  • Keeps hostess stand and surrounding area clean
  • Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager
  • Attends pre-meal meetings as requested by the Food and Beverage Manager or Manager on Duty
  • Follows CCM mission and values, providing the best quality service possible
  • Other duties as assigned
