The Host/Hostess role at Moxies is vital to maintaining this high standard of hospitality. This position serves as the friendly face welcoming guests with prompt and warm reception, ensuring each guest feels valued from the moment they step through the door until their departure. The host is responsible for managing seating arrangements efficiently by finding suitable seats and anticipating guest transitions to maximize table turns in a positive manner. Excellent communication skills, a calm demeanor in stressful situations, and a keen eye for detail are essential attributes for this role.

Responsibilities extend beyond seating; they include answering phones to handle reservations and customer service inquiries, maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the entryway and washrooms, and performing quality checks as guests leave. The host is a key team player who collaborates closely with management to handle guest concerns gracefully and professionally. The role requires someone who is able to prioritize effectively, think ahead, and remain well-groomed and presentable at all times, reflecting Moxies’ high standards. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently

Job Duties

  • Provide a great first impression when guests arrive and a lasting impression as you invite departing guests back for another visit
