Job Requirements

  • 0-2 years related experience
  • strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
  • relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • ability to stand and walk for long periods without rest
  • ability to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
  • ability to reach with hands and bend and stoop
  • ability to verbally communicate with others

Job Duties

  • Greet guest in a friendly, warm, and welcoming manner and escort guests to tables
  • monitor guests' needs and the flow of the restaurant and seat guests accordingly
  • deliver the appropriate number of menus and kid packs when seating guests
  • perform restroom checks, answer phone, keep lobby, bakery and retail areas clean and stocked
  • practice safe food and beverage handling
  • communicate and interact with guests, handle crowds, and put guests at ease while they wait
  • show guests you care and ask about their dining experience
  • effectively handle guest complaints and involve manager at appropriate time
  • handle cash and credit transactions accurately
  • assist in marketing, promotional services and situational selling
  • clear, sanitize, and set tables as needed
  • manage guests wait times by working with managers to quote accurate wait times
  • assist in other job categories as needed
  • complete all other duties as assigned
