Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years related experience in restaurant or customer service
  • ability to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods
  • ability to push, lift, carry, and transfer up to 50 pounds
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • knowledge of safe food and beverage handling practices
  • basic computer knowledge including POS systems
  • dependable and able to work in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Greet guest in a friendly, warm, and welcoming manner and escort guests to tables
  • monitor guests' needs and the flow of the restaurant and seat guests accordingly
  • deliver the appropriate number of menus and kid packs when seating guests
  • perform restroom checks, answer phone, keep lobby, bakery, and retail areas clean of debris, and keep the general work area stocked and cleaned
  • practice safe food and beverage handling
  • communicate and interact with guests, handle crowds, and put guests at ease while they wait for their table or carryout order
  • show guests you care and ask about their dining experience
  • effectively handle guest complaints and involve manager at appropriate times
  • handle cash and credit transactions accurately, accounting for all receivables including cash, credit cards, and gift cards
  • assist in marketing, promotional services, and situational selling by communicating new promotions and products to guests
  • clear, sanitize, and set tables as needed
  • manage guests' wait times by working with managers to quote accurate wait times
  • may assist in other job categories as needed
  • perform all other assigned duties
