This particular role is for a Host Cashier position at Bob Evans, where the focus is on delivering outstanding guest service from the moment guests enter the restaurant until the conclusion of their visit. Job Requirements

0-2 years related experience
Ability to accurately handle money, make change, and process credit card transactions
Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills
Good organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
Ability to stand and walk for long periods
Capacity to lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and use hands for fine motor tasks
Physically able to access all areas of the restaurant
Pass background check and eligibility to work
Willingness to follow safety, sanitation, and operational guidelines

Job Qualifications

Excellent guest service skills and experience
Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills
Must have ability to accurately handle money, make change, process credit card transactions and have strong menu knowledge
Computer skills with POS system
Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

Job Duties

Greet guest in a friendly, warm, and welcoming manner and escort guests to tables
Monitors guests' needs and the flow of the restaurant and seats guests accordingly
Delivers the appropriate number of menus, kid packs if needed when seating guests
Performs restroom checks, answers phone, keeps lobby, bakery and retail areas clean of debris, and keeping the general work area stocked and cleaned
Practices safe food and beverage handling
Communicates and interacts with guests, can handle crowds, and put guests at ease while they wait for their table or carryout order
Shows guests you care and ask them about their dining experience
Effectively handles guest complaints and involves manager at appropriate time
Handles cash and credit transactions
accurately accounts for all receivables including cash, credit cards, and gift cards
Assist in marketing, promotional services and situational selling, such as communicating new promotions, products, or marketing information to guests
Clears, sanitizes, and sets tables as needed
Manage guests wait times by working with managers to quote accurate wait times
May be asked to assist in other job categories as well
All other duties as assigned
