Job Duties
- Suggesting new menu items from limited time offerings
- Cleaning, completing side work, and organizing supplies as needed
- Proactively assisting other team members without being asked
- Providing total guest satisfaction
- Greeting and welcoming all customers immediately upon arrival and verifying the number in their party
- Seating customers at tables or booths appropriate for their needs and those of the restaurant and introducing feature of the day
- Keeping hostess area stocked and clean, including to-go items and bakery products
- Handling incoming telephone calls immediately and taking to-go orders as appropriate
- Maintaining proper supply of clean menus
- Periodically supplying customers with initial beverage suggestions and providing beverage order and refills
- Resolving complaints as they become aware of them, notifying the manager of any complaints received
- Collecting payment from customers immediately in accordance with established cash handling procedures, inquiring about food/service satisfaction, and handling customer complaints/suggestions appropriately
- Bussing and cleaning guest tables in the dining room
- Delivering trays of dirty dishware to dish-room and stocking service area with clean dishware
- Packaging to-go orders ensuring 100 percent accuracy with food, beverages, and accompaniments
- Completing the sign off process on all to-go receipts
- Expediting dine-in orders ensuring 100 percent accuracy and proper positioning of food on the service trays
- Preparing drinks for the waitstaff to help improve speed of service and table turns
- Performing other work-related duties as assigned
