Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One or more years of experience in food service or related hospitality role
  • Mandatory weekend availability
  • Ability to work part-time hours averaging 25 or more per week for eligibility of benefits
  • Basic physical ability to perform job functions including maneuvering inside the restaurant and operating equipment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to follow company policies and food safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • One or more years of experience working in high-volume and/or guest-facing food service
  • Working knowledge and/or exposure to dining room and service standards, procedures, and functions
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced, noisy environment
  • Basic understanding or willingness to learn about Japanese cuisine and beverages
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members
  • Strong customer service orientation

Job Duties

  • Working as a team with FOH and BOH to ensure consistent and timely experience for guests through customer service and food quality
  • Actively assisting fellow team members in meeting the needs of guests
  • Following company policies, state and food safety and sanitation standards
  • Continued education surrounding Japanese cuisine and beverages
  • Additional duties may apply specific to each position
  • Greet and seat guests promptly and courteously
  • Manage reservations and coordinate seating to optimize guest flow
