Job Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to carry or lift items up to 50 pounds
  • Capable of handling objects including food, utensils, and operating phones
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods
  • Must be able to stay at one location at entrance or exit for long periods and move efficiently throughout the facility

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in customer service or hosting
  • Fluent in English, other languages preferred
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with guests, employees, and third parties
  • Ability to read and write effectively for managing reservations and seating systems
  • Proficient in reading, reviewing, and understanding seating charts
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Answers the phones and takes messages/reservations
  • Maintains an accurate waitlist when necessary
  • Welcomes guests upon arrival and bids them goodbye upon departure to create a lasting positive experience
  • Greets guests in a friendly and upbeat manner to ensure satisfaction
  • Communicates effectively with all guests
  • Reports problems immediately to management
  • Coordinates seating arrangements for fast and courteous service
  • Occasionally buses tables to expedite efficient seating
  • Anticipates needs of scheduled special parties
