The role being offered is an hourly, non-exempt Server Assistant position with a competitive pay rate of $16.90 per hour plus tips. As a Server Assistant, you will be part of the Outback family and play a crucial role in delivering an "AUS-SOME" dining experience to every guest. Your responsibilities will include greeting guests with a warm smile, managing seating arrangements efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, and supporting servers by delivering food and beverages. Your friendly demeanor and teamwork spirit will be essential in supporting all restaurant areas to ensure excellent service. You will gain knowledge of the menu to provide recommendations and upsell products, contributing to overall customer satisfaction and sales. The position requires standing and walking for extended periods, lifting up to 30 pounds, and the ability to work in various temperature environments. Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift carry or move up to 30 lbs
  • able to work in hot and cold environments
  • ability to walk and stand for extended periods up to 8 hours per shift

  • manual dexterity to handle glassware utensils and technology systems
  • able to move quickly in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is a plus

Job Duties

  • Make memorable first and last impressions with a smile
  • greet incoming and departing guests in a welcoming manner
  • seat guests in dining and bar areas ensuring smooth handoff to service staff
  • coordinate wait and seat guests with a sense of urgency

  • support all restaurant areas as business needs arise demonstrating teamwork
  • commit to food safety, cleanliness, job safety and sanitation standards
  • buss tables, deliver food and support the dining room ensuring opportunities to wow guests
  • have general knowledge of food and drink menu to recommend and upsell products
  • answer phones promptly and professionally
  • lead the lobby experience following Outback hospitality standards
  • assist servers by serving food and beverages, clearing and resetting tables, and maintaining a clean dining environment
