Job Description

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. is a pioneering American craft brewery founded in 1980 by Ken Grossman. Starting with a small hand-built brewhouse and facing many challenges, the company transformed the American craft beer landscape and has been a leading innovator in the industry ever since. Renowned not only for its high-quality beers but also for its commitments to sustainability and community, Sierra Nevada stands out as much for its environmental stewardship as for its role in the craft beer revolution. Located in Chico, California, Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. has established itself as a company that values diversity, inclusion, and pushing boundaries both inside and outside the brewery. Sierra Nevada’s culture embraces respect, environmental care, and innovation, making it a sought-after workplace for individuals who value a progressive and inclusive work environment.

The Host position at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. offers an exciting opportunity to be part of the dynamic front-of-house team within the company’s onsite Food and Beverage Operations. This seasonal role, which runs through November 29, 2026, is perfect for individuals eager to gain valuable experience in the hospitality industry while contributing to a welcoming and well-organized restaurant environment. The Host will play a critical role in ensuring that guests have a positive and memorable experience from the moment they arrive until their departure. Key responsibilities include greeting guests with warmth and professionalism, managing wait lists and reservations through specialized software, and ensuring smooth seating operations. The position demands dedication to maintaining a clean, safe, and attractive dining environment both visible to guests and behind the scenes. Working under the supervision of the Front of House Supervisor Team, the Host will be a knowledgeable resource for guests, providing assistance and information about the establishment’s offerings and policies.

This role also requires active participation in ongoing training and learning initiatives to keep up to date with the latest operational practices and compliance standards. With a competitive hourly wage range from $12.30 to $19.01 based on skills and experience, this position offers attractive compensation along with the chance to contribute meaningfully to a major name in American craft brewing. The Host will be expected to uphold Sierra Nevada’s standards for responsible alcohol service as well as exceed industry standards for cleanliness, safety, and customer service. Candidates interested in hospitality, guest relations, and working in a collaborative environment will find this a rewarding and engaging opportunity.
