We are currently seeking a motivated and personable Restaurant Supervisor to join our team on a part-time basis during evening shifts. This role offers a competitive wage of $16.90 per hour. The Restaurant Supervisor plays a pivotal part in ensuring an outstanding dining experience by overseeing restaurant operations, managing service staff, and maintaining high customer satisfaction standards.\n\nThe Restaurant Supervisor will be responsible for greeting and escorting guests to their tables, ensuring the dining area is set up appropriately, and supervising and mentoring the service team. This position requires excellent communication skills to facilitate smooth operations, from conducting daily staff meetings to coordinating with management and responding effectively to guest inquiries and concerns. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including the ability to maintain proper service levels, enforce grooming and uniform standards, and handle reservations and special functions within the dining room.\n\nThis role demands a proactive attitude and a hands-on approach, including tasks such as refilling guests' coffee or tea and maintaining a courteous, efficient environment. The Restaurant Supervisor must be capable of managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously and be effective in problem-solving guest complaints with empathy and professionalism. Job Requirements
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
- Prior restaurant experience preferred
- Food handler certification is a plus
- Ability to read and comprehend English language
- Ability to speak English sufficiently to conduct small meetings
- Ability to remember recite and promote menu items
- Ability to move throughout a crowded room
- Ability to handle customer complaints effectively and professionally
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Willingness to work varying schedules including nights weekends and holidays
- Maintain neat clean and well groomed appearance
- Compliance with health and safety regulations
- Use of appropriate personal protective equipment
Job Qualifications
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education training or experience that provides required knowledge skills and abilities
- Prior restaurant experience preferred
- Food handler certification a plus
Job Duties
- Supervise service personnel including counseling and discipline to maintain service standards
- Meet and greet guests as they arrive offering choice of seating and escorting them to their table while presenting menus
- Read maintain and make daily entries in the logbook to coordinate communication between shifts and management
- Maintain proper set-up of dining room and enforce uniform and grooming standards of all service personnel
- Conduct daily roll call meetings to update staff on promotions special events guest comments and memos
- Receive record and arrange reservations and special functions in the restaurant
- Maintain communication between guests management and line employees
- Carry coffee and or teapots refilling guests cups as requested
- Perform other related duties as assigned
