The Host position at Silverado Resort is an integral role focused on ensuring a seamless greeting and seating process for guests across the resort’s various dining outlets. This hourly role pays $16.90 plus tips, spotlighting its value in delivering prompt and courteous service to guests throughout their dining experience. Hosts at Silverado Resort are responsible for not only welcoming guests and managing reservations but also supporting servers by attending to guests’ needs and ensuring overall guest satisfaction. The role demands a balance of customer service skills, attention to detail, and teamwork, as hosts assist with cashier reports, reservations, side work, and adherence to company standards such as knowledge of state liquor laws and resort policies. Job Requirements

- able to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently
- ability to bend, stoop, or reach as needed
- knowledge of state liquor laws
- ability to prepare cashier report
- ability to take reservations accurately
- knowledge of resort policies and safety rules
- strong communication and customer service skills
Job Qualifications
- in compliance with California laws, responsible beverage service and food handlers certification are required
Job Duties
- adhere to the company's service culture - 4 keys to creating guests for life
- actively participate in team member referral program and be a talent ambassador for Silverado Resort
- participate in all resort required meetings and trainings
- greet and seat guests at appropriate tables in a timely manner
- be attentive of guests' needs assist in providing a pleasant dining experience
- know how to prepare cashier report at the end of the shift
- know how to properly take reservations for outlets
- ensure quality control of menus with regard to cleanliness and appearance
- perform opening and closing duties according to established side work checklist
- be able to answer the telephone according to standards
- have a complete knowledge of standards of service for receiving a room service order
- have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials in all applicable departments
- assist servers and cashiers in the servicing of guests as needed
- know and understand the state liquor laws
- ensure overall guest satisfaction
- assist the server when needed
- abide by all resort policies and safety rules
- perform other duties as requested by management
