The Host position at Silverado Resort is a vital role within the resort's food and beverage department, with a salary offering starting at minimum wage plus $16.90 per hour plus tips. This role involves the prompt recognition and seating of guests across assigned outlets, playing an essential part in delivering attentive, courteous, and efficient service throughout guests' dining experiences. The Host ensures that every guest is warmly greeted and seated in a timely manner, contributing to the overall quality and flow of restaurant operations. Beyond seating, the Host supports servers and cashiers, assists with reservations, and helps maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation of menus. This position requires knowledge of state liquor laws, room service standards, and the ability to prepare cashier reports at the end of shifts. Hosts are active participants in team-oriented programs such as the team member referral program, further contributing to the vibrant community and service culture at Silverado Resort. The role demands flexibility with work hours, sometimes requiring long shifts, and physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform medium physical work. The position also includes participation in mandatory trainings and meetings, adherence to resort policies, and a responsibility to assist in overall guest satisfaction and safety standards. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Compliance with California laws for Responsible Beverage Service certification
- Food Handlers Certification required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently
- Must be able to stand and work for extended periods during service hours
- Ability to bend, stoop or reach as needed
- Must be willing to work long hours
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Job Duties
- Adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life
- Actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort
- Participate in all resort required meetings and trainings
- Greet and seat guests at appropriate tables in a timely manner
- Be attentive of guests’ needs and assist in providing a pleasant dining experience
- Prepare cashier report at the end of the shift
- Take reservations for outlets properly
- Ensure quality control of menus with regard to cleanliness and appearance
- Perform opening and closing duties according to established side work checklist
- Answer the telephone according to standards
- Have complete knowledge of standards of service for receiving a room service order
- Have thorough knowledge of menus and current specials in all applicable departments
- Assist servers and cashiers in the servicing of guests as needed
- Know and understand state liquor laws
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
- Assist the server when needed
- Abide by all resort policies and safety rules
- Perform other duties as requested by management
