Job Description
FCG Pearland is a vibrant and welcoming neighborhood joint located in Pearland, Texas, known for its warm hospitality and community-driven atmosphere. This establishment prides itself on delivering not only great food and drinks but also memorable customer experiences, making it a go-to destination for locals and visitors alike. As part of its team, employees are immersed in a culture of servant leadership that emphasizes serving others first, creating a positive environment not only for customers but also among team members. The company is committed to maintaining high standards in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and ordinances, ensuring a safe, sanitary, and secure environment throughout the restaurant.
The Host role at FCG Pearland is a key position that serves as the face of the restaurant, responsible for creating the first and last impression for every customer. This position is designed for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys engaging with people to ensure an awesome and clean atmosphere for all visitors. The Host's primary responsibility is to greet customers with a genuine and upbeat attitude, control the flow of traffic, and manage the seating process effectively. Understanding and conveying menu details, drink specials, and any chalkboard specials are essential parts of this role to enhance the customer experience.
Additionally, the Host is expected to perform duties that support the overall function of the restaurant, including assisting bussers, servers, and bartenders when needed. The role requires standing and walking for 100 percent of the working time, along with physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, lifting objects weighing more than 35 pounds, and maintaining balance on various surfaces. Strong communication skills are necessary to interact professionally with customers and team members, explain specials, handle special needs such as senior citizens or large parties, and effectively manage customer complaints by notifying management appropriately.
This position demands a positive, can-do attitude characterized by enthusiasm, passion, pride, and a “do whatever it takes” mindset. The Host not only manages customer seating but also ensures doors are held open and chairs are pulled out for female customers as a sign of courteous and thoughtful service. Maintaining energy and a clean environment throughout the shift is crucial for success in this role. Moreover, the Host contributes to maintaining the restaurant's operational excellence by completing side work and assisting with the flow of communication across the restaurant to promote a seamless dining experience.
FCG Pearland offers a dynamic work environment where employees are appreciated for their dedication to quality customer service and teamwork. This role is ideal for individuals seeking employment in the hospitality industry who desire to grow in a supportive, customer-focused setting. While previous experience in a host or customer service role is beneficial, the company values attitude and willingness to learn, making this an excellent opportunity for both experienced hospitality professionals and those new to the industry. The employment type and salary details can be discussed during the interview process.
