Job Description

42 Bar and Table Restaurant, located within the Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock, Arkansas, is a distinguished dining establishment known for its commitment to superior hospitality and exceptional customer service. Open seven days a week, including Sunday brunch and lunch, the restaurant prides itself on high standards of quality and an inviting atmosphere. With a remarkable 4.8 out of 5 rating on OpenTable and a 100 percent recommendation rate, 42 Bar and Table has earned accolades such as the Best Business Lunch in Soirée recommendations. Every item on the menu is crafted from scratch, including homemade ice cream, which highlights the restaurant's dedication to freshness and quality. The venue fosters a family-friendly environment that prioritizes delivering what they call a "Presidential experience," reflecting an emphasis on making each guest feel valued and appreciated.

The role of the Host at 42 Bar and Table is pivotal in ensuring that every guest receives an exceptional customer experience from the moment they arrive until their departure. The Host is the face of the restaurant, greeting patrons promptly and warmly, seating them thoughtfully while managing the flow of guests to maintain a seamless dining experience. This position demands a friendly and courteous demeanor, along with the ability to handle the dynamic environment of a busy restaurant. Beyond greeting and seating, the Host will be responsible for confirming that guests had a memorable visit and inviting them to return, thereby fostering customer loyalty.

Additionally, the Host may undertake several support tasks such as ringing up orders, refilling beverages, setting tables, and maintaining cleanliness in eating and serving areas. These duties contribute to the overall positive impression and smooth operations of the restaurant. Candidates for this role should be comfortable with multi-tasking and able to meet the fast-paced demands of the hospitality industry. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about customer service and hospitality, offering a chance to grow within a reputable establishment connected to the Clinton Foundation.

The Clinton Foundation itself is a renowned nonprofit organization founded by President Bill Clinton with a mission to create economic opportunity, improve public health, and inspire civic engagement on a global scale. Established nearly two decades ago, the Foundation collaborates with business, government, and nonprofit partners to tackle complex social challenges efficiently and effectively. The Foundation’s dedication to cooperation and innovation is reflected in the working environment and values of its affiliated entities, including 42 Bar and Table.

The Clinton Presidential Center, home to the restaurant, is a key cultural and educational hub that showcases the legacy and work of President Clinton. It hosts the Clinton Presidential Library and Museum, houses the Little Rock offices of the Clinton Foundation, and serves as an academic and leadership center through partnerships like the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service and the Presidential Leadership Scholars program. Located in a scenic 29-acre park along the Arkansas River, the Center offers visitors comprehensive cultural, educational, and dining experiences.

Working at 42 Bar and Table offers more than just a job; it is an opportunity to be part of an organization dedicated to service, quality, and community. Hosts at the restaurant play an integral role in upholding the standards and reputation of the Clinton Presidential Center and the Clinton Foundation, contributing directly to the visitor experience and the success of the restaurant. This role is suitable for individuals who value interaction, teamwork, and creating positive experiences for others.
