Job Description

Siro Restaurant is situated within the Orlando World Center Marriott, a premier destination known for its luxurious accommodations and exceptional service standards. Marriott International, the parent company, is a global leader in the hospitality industry, renowned for its commitment to quality and guest satisfaction across its many brands. The Orlando World Center Marriott offers a vibrant environment where guests from around the world experience exquisite dining options that complement their stay. Siro Restaurant stands out as a significant dining venue within this resort, delivering a memorable culinary experience with a focus on excellent service and ambiance.

The role of Host at Siro Restaurant is a part-time, non-management position that plays an essential role in maintaining the restaurant’s high guest service standards. Hosts are the first point of contact for guests entering the restaurant, where they are responsible for warmly greeting guests, accurately determining the size of their party, and efficiently seating them at available tables. This position demands excellent interpersonal skills, as the Host guides guests through the dining areas and assists with seating arrangements tailored to any special group needs.

In addition to welcoming guests, the Host ensures that all tables are properly set and maintained throughout the day. This includes pulling out chairs, placing clean and updated menus, arranging place settings with clean silverware and napkins, and frequently checking that menus remain clean and wrinkle-free. The Host’s responsibilities require consistent attention to cleanliness practices, operating with a 'clean-as-you-go' mindset to uphold the restaurant's inviting atmosphere.

Safety and security are paramount, and Hosts must adhere to all company policies, promptly report any hazards or incidents, and complete necessary training to maintain a safe working and dining environment. Professional appearance and confidentiality regarding proprietary information are also expected at all times.

Another critical aspect of this role is the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Hosts must answer telephones courteously, interact respectfully with guests and colleagues, and support the team in achieving common goals. The position requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and performing light physical tasks, such as moving objects up to 10 pounds.

Marriott International is proud of its inclusive work culture, actively encouraging diversity and equal opportunity in employment. At Siro Restaurant and the Orlando World Center Marriott, you will join a team that values individual backgrounds and experiences, contributing to a rich, collaborative environment. Employee well-being, personal growth, and career development are core principles upheld by Marriott Hotels.

Joining as a Host within JW Marriott's luxury brand portfolio means being part of a prestigious network of over 100 distinguished properties worldwide. JW Marriott promotes a supportive community where associates are empowered, innovated, and encouraged to pursue their passions in a luxury setting. This role offers not only the chance to build a rewarding career in hospitality but also to be part of a brand dedicated to exceptional guest treatment and associate care through The JW Treatment™. Embark on your journey where you can do your best work, begin your purpose, belong to an amazing global team, and become the best version of yourself with Marriott International.
