Since the debut of The St. Regis hotel in New York by John Jacob Astor IV in the early twentieth century, the brand has upheld its legacy of delivering exquisite, bespoke, and anticipatory service to its guests. Known for its classic sophistication combined with modern sensibility, St. Regis is synonymous with impeccable quality and signature Butler Service that enhances every guest’s experience. With more than 50 luxury hotels and resorts in prime locations worldwide, St. Regis is committed to providing an environment where the unique backgrounds and talents of its associates are valued and celebrated. The company is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, fostering an inclusive workplace that welcomes diversity and ensures access to opportunities for all. Its strong commitment to non-discrimination includes protections across disability, veteran status, and other legally protected categories, reflecting Marriott International’s dedication to legal compliance and a fair hiring process even for applicants with criminal histories, insofar as consistent with applicable laws.
The Host role at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is a critical position that serves as the initial point of contact for guests, ensuring their first impression of the dining experience is welcoming and flawless. Hosts greet guests warmly upon arrival, ascertain party size, and guide them to suitable, clean tables while managing seating efficiently, including arranging tables and chairs to accommodate groups with special requirements. This role encompasses responsibilities such as ensuring place settings are impeccable, menus are current and clean, and the dining environment adheres to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety throughout service hours. The Host is not only focused on guest comfort but also on maintaining operational procedures, following safety and security protocols, reporting incidents promptly, and upholding professional appearance standards. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and telephonic, are essential as the Host interacts with guests and team members to facilitate smooth service and promotes a positive, team-oriented atmosphere. This role requires a commitment to quality and exemplary guest service standards, with the ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, sitting, walking extended periods, and handling light objects. As part of the St. Regis team, the Host contributes to the iconic hospitality experience the brand is known for, operating within a supportive environment that encourages professional growth and the realization of individual potential. This entry-level opportunity welcomes candidates with a high school diploma or GED equivalent and does not require previous experience or supervisory background, making it suitable for those starting their careers in the hospitality industry or seeking to grow within a prestigious, global hotel group.
