Job Duties
- Greet guests and determine the number in their party
- seat guests by finding clean available tables
- pull out chairs and place menus in front of guests
- guide guests through dining rooms and provide assistance
- move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings, organizing seating for groups with special needs
- ensure place settings are appropriate with napkins and clean silverware
- check menus for cleanliness, currency, and abundance
- maintain cleanliness of work areas practicing clean-as-you-go procedures
- monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being
- follow company safety and security policies and procedures
- report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management
- complete required safety training and certifications
- maintain clean and professional personal appearance
- protect company assets and uphold confidentiality
- welcome and acknowledge guests according to standards
- communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues
- answer telephones using proper etiquette
- develop and maintain positive working relationships
- support team goals
- listen and respond appropriately to employee concerns
- adhere to quality expectations and standards
- stand, sit, or walk for long periods
- move, lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 10 pounds
