Within this vibrant and dynamic environment, the resort is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Host to join its Food and Beverage team. The host role is a non-management position with a pay rate of $21.75 per hour. This is an on-site position based at the Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center. The Host plays a critical role in supporting the smooth operation of the dining services by warmly welcoming guests, managing seating arrangements, and ensuring a positive guest experience from the moment they arrive. The Host is responsible for greeting guests, determining the number of people in their party, and seating them appropriately by finding clean and available tables while ensuring that each seating area is well-prepared.
The Host supports guest satisfaction by providing assistance throughout the dining process, guiding guests through the dining rooms, and accommodating groups with special needs. Job Duties
- Greet guests and determine the number in their party
- Seat guests by finding a clean, available table
- Pull out chairs for guests
- Place clean or current menu in front of guests
- Guide guests through dining rooms and provide needed assistance
- Move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings for groups with special needs
- Ensure place settings are appropriate with napkin, clean silverware, and standard items
- Check menus for cleanliness, currency, and availability
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day
- Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, safety, and guest wellbeing
- Follow company safety and security policies and procedures
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to manager
- Complete required safety training and certifications
- Maintain clean and professional uniform and personal appearance
- Ensure confidentiality of proprietary information
- Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards
- Use clear and professional language
- Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues
