This role is for a Guest Services Host at The Ritz-Carlton, a position vital to ensuring the smooth operation of the dining and guest seating experience. The Guest Services Host is the first point of contact for guests entering the dining area, responsible for warmly greeting guests, determining the size of their party, and seating them at appropriate tables. This involves not just finding a clean and available table but also setting the stage for the guest's dining experience by pulling out chairs, placing clean or current menus, and ensuring the area is welcoming and organized. The role requires assisting guests as they are guided through the dining rooms, managing seating arrangements for those with special needs, and ensuring that all place settings meet the high standards expected at The Ritz-Carlton, including providing napkins, clean silverware, and maintaining wrinkle-free menus. The host must proactively monitor the cleanliness and readiness of work areas throughout the day by practicing clean-as-you-go procedures. Additionally, monitoring dining room seating availability, guest safety, and overall well-being is a key responsibility.

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and determine the number in their party
  • Seat guests by finding a clean, available table

  • Ensure place settings are appropriate with napkins and clean silverware
