Job Description

The Roof is a distinguished dining establishment located at 9040 W Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, California, known for its vibrant atmosphere and exceptional culinary experiences. As part of the food and beverage and culinary sector, The Roof emphasizes delivering unparalleled guest service in a beautiful setting. This full-time, non-management position offers an hourly pay range of $30.00 to $31.00. The Roof provides an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality to join a team focused on excellence and guest satisfaction. The company culture embraces diversity and inclusivity, fostering an environment where every team member’s unique background and talents are celebrated, ensuring a welcoming and supportive workplace for all employees. Working at The Roof means contributing to a dynamic hospitality environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities to showcase professional skills in a lively and engaging venue.

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for guests, providing an exceptional welcoming experience as they enter the restaurant. Responsibilities include greeting guests, determining the number of people in each party, and showing guests to clean and available seating. You will also be responsible for setting the table by arranging clean, updated menus, chairs, and appropriate table settings. Your attentive guidance will help guests navigate the dining area while assisting them as needed, including arranging tables and seats for groups with special requirements. Ensuring the availability of clean and properly set utensils, napkins, and menus is a key part of maintaining high standards of service.

Maintaining the cleanliness of the work area throughout the day is crucial, along with monitoring seating availability, service quality, guest safety, and overall guest satisfaction in the dining area. Adherence to company safety policies, reporting accidents or unsafe conditions, and participating in trainings and safety certifications are integral to this role. You are expected to maintain a professional appearance in uniform and ensure confidentiality and protection of company property. Effective communication, both with guests and team members, is essential for success, as is cultivating positive work relationships and supporting collective team goals.

This position requires physical endurance such as standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods and the ability to move or carry items weighing up to 10 pounds. Additional duties may be assigned by supervisors to support business needs. The Roof seeks energetic and motivated individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced hospitality setting, delivering heartfelt service rather than scripted interactions. Joining The Roof means becoming part of a global network through Marriott International, a leader in providing diverse and inclusive opportunities and championing equal employment practices.
