Marriott International is a global leader in the hospitality industry, renowned for its commitment to exceptional guest service and innovative hospitality solutions. As a multinational company with a rich heritage, Marriott operates a diverse portfolio of hotels and resorts across the world, including the luxury JW Marriott brand. JW Marriott represents the epitome of luxury and sophistication, offering over 100 magnificent properties located in key gateway cities and exclusive resort destinations. Known for valuing its associates, JW Marriott emphasizes creating a supportive work environment that fosters personal growth, holistic well-being, and professional development. The company takes pride in its culture of inclusivity, valuing diverse backgrounds and experiences, ensuring equal opportunities for all employees. Marriott International is dedicated to maintaining non-discriminatory employment policies, providing a welcoming atmosphere where employees can thrive. As part of the Marriott portfolio, JW Marriott associates benefit from a collaborative, community-focused workplace where camaraderie and mutual support are central to the experience.

The role of Host at Marriott Hotels, and more specifically within the JW Marriott brand, is integral to delivering the renowned Marriott hospitality experience. This position involves the warm greeting and seating of guests to ensure their dining experience begins smoothly and pleasantly. The Host is responsible for seating guests by accurately assessing party size and efficiently managing seating arrangements, including assisting guests with moving chairs, placing menus, and accommodating special seating needs. Attentiveness to detail is key, as the Host ensures place settings are complete with napkins, clean silverware, and any other necessary items. Monitoring the dining room for cleanliness, seating availability, guest safety, and overall well-being forms a critical part of the job. The Host must be proactive in maintaining current and clean menus and upholding the company’s high cleanliness standards throughout the day.

Additionally, Hosts are expected to adhere to all company safety and security policies, complete any required training, and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Effective communication skills are necessary, as Hosts interact with guests and coworkers, answer telephones with appropriate etiquette, and support the teamwork ethos that encourages a positive working environment. While no previous related work experience or supervisory experience is required for this role, a high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred. This entry-level opportunity is ideal for individuals seeking to begin a career in hospitality, providing essential exposure to customer service and operational competencies within a prestigious, luxury hotel brand. JW Marriott is committed to the development, recognition, and well-being of its associates, embodying the brand’s legacy in all aspects of its service and workplace culture. Joining JW Marriott as a Host means becoming part of a global team where you can do your best work, find your purpose, belong to a diverse community, and grow into the best version of yourself.
