Job Qualifications
- No previous restaurant experience required
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in the predominant language(s) of the guests
- Exceptional grooming habits
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods (up to 8 hours)
Job Duties
- Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival
- Greet guests entering the restaurant when possible
- Record guest names, party size, and issue pagers when seating is unavailable
- Provide guests with estimated waiting times
- Page guests when tables become available and thank them for waiting
- Walk guests to tables with menus and silverware
- Accommodate special seating requests whenever possible
- Seat guests based on preferences and balancing customer flow
- Inform guests of their server's name upon seating
- Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
- Keep the host area, floors, and door glass clean
