Job Description
The Miami Beach EDITION is a luxurious hotel located at 2901 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, Florida, offering a unique blend of sophisticated style, exceptional service, and an inspiring atmosphere. Part of the renowned EDITION Hotels, which combines the visionary approach of Ian Schrager with the world-class hospitality capabilities of Marriott International, this establishment presents guests with an unparalleled experience in the boutique hotel realm. The brand is dedicated to delivering a blend of elegance and personality, perfectionism and individualism, as well as comfort with charisma and charm, catering to guests who appreciate quality, originality, design, and excellent service without limitations. As a leading hotel within the Marriott International portfolio, The Miami Beach EDITION fosters a welcoming work environment that values diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity, ensuring every employee feels valued and respected.
The role offered is a part-time, non-management position within the Food and Beverage and Culinary category, specifically for guest seating and dining area support. This position is vital for ensuring that guests receive a superior dining experience by warmly greeting them, managing seating arrangements, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining area. The hourly pay is $20.00 with eligibility for tips and service charge. Employees in this role receive ongoing support and training to meet company standards in safety, service, and quality while being part of a dynamic team environment that encourages professional growth and personal pride in their work.
As a team member, you will be responsible for welcoming guests, determining group sizes, guiding guests through the dining areas, and assisting when needed. You will maintain the seating arrangements, ensure menus are clean and updated, set tables properly with appropriate utensils, and uphold rigorous cleanliness standards throughout the day. This role demands effective communication skills, professional demeanor, and the ability to work collaboratively with the team to meet and exceed guest expectations. Physical stamina to stand and move around for long periods and the capability to handle objects weighing up to 10 pounds is also essential. Joining The Miami Beach EDITION means being part of a prestigious brand that pushes the boundaries of hospitality to create memorable and exceptional experiences for every guest and employee alike. The position offers an inspiring work environment where service comes from the heart rather than a manual and provides an opportunity to grow within Marriott International's global brand family.
