Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • no prior related work experience required

  • ability to perform physical tasks including standing and walking for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and determine the number in their party
  • seat guests by finding a clean, available table
  • pull out chairs
  • place clean/current menu in front of guest
  • guide guests through dining rooms and provide assistance
  • move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings
  • organize seating for groups with special needs
  • ensure place settings are appropriate and complete with napkin, silverware, and necessary items
  • check menus for cleanliness, currency, and sufficient quantity
  • maintain cleanliness of work areas using clean-as-you-go procedures
  • monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, safety, and guest well-being
  • follow company and safety policies and report accidents or unsafe conditions
  • maintain professional personal appearance and protect company assets
  • welcome guests according to company standards
  • communicate clearly and professionally
  • answer telephones with appropriate etiquette
  • develop and maintain positive working relationships
  • support team goals
  • listen and respond to employee concerns
  • ensure adherence to quality expectations
  • stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
