Job Duties

  • Greet guests and determine the number in their party
  • seat guests by finding a clean, available table
  • pull out chairs and place clean or current menus in front of guests
  • guide guests through dining rooms and provide assistance
  • move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings for groups with special needs
  • ensure place settings are appropriate and each guest has a napkin, clean silverware, and necessary items
  • check menus for cleanliness, current status, and availability
  • maintain cleanliness of work areas and practice clean-as-you-go procedures
  • monitor dining rooms for seating availability, safety, service, and guest wellbeing
  • follow company safety and security policies and report any accidents or unsafe conditions
  • maintain a clean, professional personal appearance
  • welcome and acknowledge guests using company standards
  • communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members
  • answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
  • develop positive working relationships and support team goals
  • ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
