Job Description

Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned restaurant chain specializing in seafood and coastal cuisine, with over fifty years of history and a presence of more than 500 locations. The company was founded with a vision to provide guests a unique connection to seafood and the coast, establishing each restaurant as a welcoming place where customers can enjoy their favorite meals and create lasting memories. Over the decades, Red Lobster has grown into a beloved dining destination known for its quality food, warm atmosphere, and commitment to community involvement. Every restaurant in the Red Lobster family serves as an extension of the original passion for excellent seafood and exceptional guest experiences. They take pride in being more than just a place to eat and work; they cultivate an environment where new friends become familiar faces, and guests feel like part of a larger family. Red Lobster continually invests in its people and communities, offering not only great food but also a welcoming and inclusive workplace.

The role of a Host at Red Lobster is vital to delivering the company’s high standards of hospitality. As the first point of contact for guests, the Host is responsible for creating a positive and memorable experience from the moment guests walk through the door. This position involves greeting guests with a smile, accurately quoting wait times, managing reservations, and ensuring guests feel welcomed and valued. Hosts also escort guests to their tables, providing seamless service throughout their dining experience and extending a warm farewell accompanied by an invitation to return. The Host role requires strong interpersonal skills, multitasking abilities, and a genuine focus on guest satisfaction and team collaboration. Physical stamina is important as it involves standing, moving throughout the restaurant, and safely lifting up to 30 pounds during shifts lasting between 8 to 12 hours. The role offers flexible scheduling and competitive wages with weekly pay. Red Lobster provides substantial employee benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance options starting at less than $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match after one year of service. Employees are also eligible for anniversary pay, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. The company emphasizes career growth by training and offering advancement opportunities. Red Lobster is committed to creating an inclusive workplace that values diversity and equal employment opportunities for all, regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. There has never been a better time to join the Red Lobster family, where employees can build lasting careers while contributing to a positive, guest-focused dining environment.
