Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic knowledge of reservation or seating software is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Physical ability to lift up to 20 lbs
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Experience in high volume, upscale casual dining or an equivalent service environment preferred
- Able to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends, and some holidays
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours)
- Lift and carry up to 20 lbs (e.g., menus, high chairs, booster seats)
- Reach, bend, and stoop occasionally
- Use hands and arms to operate reservation systems and phones
- Clear verbal communication skills and ability to interact with guests in a busy environment
- Ability to remain calm and composed while multitasking in a fast-pace setting
Job Duties
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and positive attitude, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere
- Manage the waitlist and seating arrangements efficiently, ensuring accurate and timely seating of guests
- Provide accurate and helpful information to guests regarding menus, specials, and restaurant policies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand and lobby area, making a great first impression on guests
- Coordinate with the serving staff and kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient flow of guest seating and service
