The Host/Hostess position at Virgin Hotels is a pivotal role designed to ensure every guest feels welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive until they leave. This front-of-house position involves greeting guests warmly, providing accurate wait times, managing reservations, and escorting customers to their designated dining or bar areas. The role requires a person with excellent organizational skills and a friendly, engaging personality to maintain the smooth flow of the dining experience. In addition to greeting guests and managing seating arrangements, the Host/Hostess must be well-versed in health and safety standards, particularly the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) regulations, ensuring compliance throughout the venue. The position also demands strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with wait staff and management, handle guest inquiries via phone or in-person, and facilitate seamless coordination behind the scenes.

They must also be adaptable and cooperative, working well as part of a team while independently managing the reception area’s upkeep, including cleanliness and organization. The ability to explain basic menu details and beverages, attend to special guest needs such as those of children or elderly patrons, and support wait staff by keeping supplies stocked are also vital components of the job.
This position requires the successful applicant to hold a current Food Service Handler Card and TABC certification, along with the legal ability to work in the United States. Job Requirements
- Current legal and unrestricted ability to work in the United States
- high school education or equivalent
- ability to communicate in English clearly and pleasantly with guests management or co-workers both in person and on the telephone
- preferred additional foreign language
- food service handler card and TABC certification currently valid for a minimum of at least 6 months
- ability to work a flexible schedule
