The role of Host/Hostess at Aramark plays a critical part in creating memorable dining experiences by being the first and lasting impression guests have. This position is centered on building social connections, greeting guests with sincerity, and ensuring efficient seating arrangements to optimize the use of dining space. The Host/Hostess is responsible for maintaining a welcoming and organized front-of-house environment while ensuring guests’ special needs and requests are accommodated smoothly. This is a dynamic role that requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as an empathetic and positive demeanor. The Host/Hostess will work closely with kitchen staff and servers to optimize communication and support seamless operations within the dining venue.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a customer service or food service role
- Ability to work evenings weekends and holidays
- Strong communication skills
- Physical ability to perform job duties including standing and walking for extended periods
- Must be able to obtain food safety certification
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be adaptable to changing guest needs
Job Qualifications
- Previous host or hostess or food service experience preferred
- Demonstrates excellent guest service skills
- Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills accuracy and attention to detail
- The ideal candidate has a flexible schedule to work evenings weekends and holidays
- Enjoys working in a lively environment
- Must be able to obtain food safety certification
- This role may have physical demands including but not limited to lifting bending pushing pulling and or extended walking and standing
- This role may also require uniforms and or usage of personal protective equipment ppe
Job Duties
- Greets guests as they arrive seat them accordingly ensuring the optimum use of tables
- Ensures any special needs or requests for diners are accommodated and arranged
- Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of the front-of-house environment
- Escalates any guest needs or concerns as necessary
- Works closely with the kitchen staff and servers optimizing communication to ensure efficient operations
- Maintains excellent guest service and positive demeanor towards guests clients co-workers etc.
- Adaptable to guest needs
- Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
