The Front Host/Hostess plays an essential role in shaping guests' first impressions, acting as the face of our dining experience. The primary responsibility involves warmly welcoming guests upon arrival and managing an efficient seating process to maximize guest satisfaction and service flow. This position requires an individual with excellent communication skills, a polished appearance, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, smoke-filled environment typical of a busy casino. Key duties include greeting guests warmly, opening doors when possible, managing waitlists by recording guest names and party sizes, and providing estimated wait times to ensure transparency and comfort for waiting customers.
Additionally, this role involves calling out guest names when tables are ready, handling special seating requests, and balancing table assignments to maintain smooth operations across service stations. Upon seating, the host offers menus, delivers server information, and ensures the table presentation meets our high standards. The Front Host/Hostess also facilitates communication between guests, servers, and bus-persons to guarantee a seamless dining experience from start to finish. Beyond guest interaction, the position entails general duties as required by management to support overall restaurant function. The role requires physical stamina, the ability to stand for extended periods, lift items up to 50 pounds occasionally, and perform movements such as bending and stooping. Knowledge of computer systems and prior exposure to Open Table software is advantageous.

Job Duties
- Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival
- open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant when possible
- record guest names and number of people in party when immediate seating is limited
- call out name and number of party when tables become available
- provide guests with estimated waiting time
- accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible
- seat guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations
- upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server's name
- inspect table for proper presentation and completeness
- relay messages to servers and bus-persons as needed
- thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
- perform other duties and projects as required by management
