Job Requirements

  • minimum age of 16 years
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • flexibility to work various shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • must be able to work in a team environment
  • basic math skills for handling seating and waitlist management

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in customer service or hospitality is a plus but not required
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • strong organizational skills
  • friendly and approachable demeanor
  • basic proficiency with computers or reservation software is beneficial

Job Duties

  • greet and welcome guests as they arrive
  • manage seating arrangements efficiently to optimize dining area usage
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting areas
  • communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate guest seating and flow
  • handle guest inquiries and provide information about the menu or wait times
  • manage reservations and waitlists when applicable
  • assist in maintaining a friendly and positive atmosphere in the restaurant
