Job Requirements

- Must showcase teamwork and communication skills

Job Qualifications

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

- Completion of IHOP training coursework as assigned

Job Duties
- Greet customers timely as they enter the restaurant, escort, and seat them as soon as a table or booth is available
- Open doors for guests arriving and departing
- Accommodate any special needs of guests such as boosters, highchairs, and disabilities
- Process to-go and delivery orders
- Provide menu recommendations and additional information
- Upsell additional products when appropriate
- Take orders using software, order slips, or memorization
- Communicate order details to kitchen staff
- Deliver food and beverages in a timely fashion to outside guests
- Deliver checks and collect bill payments
- Clear, clean, manicure, and reset tables
- clean chairs, booths, and floors
- Provide exceptional customer experience
- Develop and maintain professional and functional working relationships with IHOP employees and customers
- Perform food safety evaluations, LTO training, A/B status, operations excellence, and health department inspections as per IHOP SOP
- Execute guest relations for normalized guest complaints index to ensure quality guest experience
- Handle guest complaints timely, inquire about dining experience, thank customers and invite them to return
- Handle cash accurately and responsibly
- Answer telephone, take messages, complete to-go and curbside orders
- Maintain guest checks, voids, and discounts
- Maintain a waiting list if necessary
- Rotate station seating and make floor charts if applicable
- Check restrooms hourly for proper stock levels and cleanliness
- Perform all cleaning duties according to cleaning charts
- Comply with IHOP uniform and appearance standards
- Perform other assignments as directed by management.
