Job Description
Thrive Restaurant Group is a well-established family-owned restaurant company with a rich history of over 50 years in the hospitality industry. Known for its dedication to community involvement and high-quality dining experiences, Thrive Restaurant Group is a trusted name in the regions it serves. This company operates with a strong focus on family values and aims to foster a positive work environment where employees can grow both personally and professionally. Thrive Restaurant Group owns and manages a variety of restaurant brands, including the well-loved Applebee's, known locally as Legacy Apple. Applebee's has built a reputation as the neighborhood gathering spot that cares deeply about the communities it serves. This commitment goes beyond offering delicious meals; the company actively supports local initiatives such as fundraising for children battling cancer and hosting community events, reflecting its core value of "Be a Good Neighbor." This strong community engagement has resulted in over $5 million donated to causes that strengthen lives and relationships within these neighborhoods.
The opportunity available is for the role of Host at Applebee's under the Thrive Restaurant Group umbrella. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and eager to become part of a team that values a fun, family-oriented atmosphere. As a Host, the primary responsibility is to warmly welcome guests with a bright smile, creating a positive and inviting first impression as they arrive. Hosts play a critical role in ensuring guests feel valued and cared for from the moment they step into the restaurant until their departure.
The Host will assist guests by seating them comfortably, managing the overall flow of the dining area, and accommodating any special needs such as providing boosters, high chairs, or assistance for disabilities. This role is both physically active and community-centered, requiring mobility throughout the restaurant to engage with guests and staff effectively. The Host is also instrumental in managing the waitlist during busy periods, providing excellent guest service assistance to servers, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The role serves as an excellent entry point for those interested in gaining experience in business, leadership, and hospitality within a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
This position offers employment that involves receiving the tip credit minimum wage plus tips, providing an opportunity to earn competitive compensation based on availability and performance. Thrive Restaurant Group is an equal opportunity employer that complies with all applicable state requirements, including the use of E-Verify in Tennessee to ensure legal employment.
Overall, joining Thrive Restaurant Group as a Host offers meaningful work in a vibrant restaurant setting where every team member is valued and empowered to make a difference. This role is ideal for candidates who are eager to develop their skills, contribute to making guest experiences memorable, and embrace the company’s mission of community involvement and exceptional hospitality.
