Job Description
HomeGrown is a unique and thriving restaurant that stands out from the typical dining establishments. Since its inception in 2017, HomeGrown has become one of the most popular breakfast and brunch destinations in Northwest Arkansas, known for its warm hospitality, quality food, and commitment to community. The company is part of Thrive Restaurant Group, a family-owned business with over 50 years of history in the restaurant industry. This affiliation provides HomeGrown the strength of experience and a dedication to creating an atmosphere where both employees and guests feel valued and cared for. HomeGrown emphasizes the philosophy of "Local when it’s better," partnering with local farmers, producers, and artisans to ensure the freshest ingredients and support the community.
At HomeGrown, the work culture is distinctly marked by kindness, teamwork, and a focus on personal development. The environment fosters a sense of belonging and professionalism, where everyone from the kitchen to front-of-house works together to deliver an excellent dining experience. The company’s commitment extends beyond food to cultivating a supportive and welcoming atmosphere where employees can grow both their hospitality skills and leadership abilities.
The position of Host/Hostess at HomeGrown is an hourly role designed for individuals who enjoy serving people with warmth and professionalism. The shift schedules are early but end by 3:30 pm every day, making it ideal for those who prefer daytime work without late night or dinner shifts. Compensation includes not only competitive hourly pay but also a share of tips. Full-time employees have access to a benefits package that includes paid time off, vision, dental, and medical insurance, making it an attractive opportunity for serious hospitality professionals.
As a Host/Hostess, the individual will serve as the welcoming face of the restaurant, cultivating kindness and providing excellent customer service to every guest from their arrival to their departure. This role is essential in maintaining clear communication with other team members, efficiently managing the seating system and waitlist, and ensuring a smooth flow within the dining area. The host or hostess also supports teammates by assisting with bussing and cleaning duties, phone communication, and supporting take-out services. The role requires a positive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.
This position is perfect for someone who values working in a family atmosphere, is eager to learn hospitality skills, and wants to be part of a company that prioritizes kindness alongside great food. If you seek a daytime job with meaningful interaction, a supportive team, and a chance to develop professionally in the restaurant industry, HomeGrown offers a rewarding and respectful workplace where you can truly make a difference.
