As a Host at Applebee's, you will be the first point of contact for guests, responsible for greeting each person with a bright and positive smile. You will assist guests by escorting them to their seats, accommodate special needs such as boosters and highchairs, and manage the flow of guests effectively, especially during busy periods. This position requires a strong desire to care for others, a positive and friendly attitude, and good communication skills. It is physically active, involving mobility throughout the restaurant during the entire shift, and may require lifting or moving items up to 25 pounds occasionally. The ability to maintain clean and organized seating areas and workstations is also part of the responsibilities. The Host position is compensated with the tip credit minimum wage plus tips, with total income varying based on availability and guest volume.
