The role of Host/Hostess at Chickie's & Pete's is pivotal in delivering an outstanding guest experience. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must perform physical activities including cleaning, climbing, lifting, walking and balancing
  • Must be able to assess and anticipate guests needs
  • Must possess basic computer skills to operate point of sale systems
  • Must be able to speak and write effectively in English
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts and occasional overtime
  • Ability to handle guest complaints tactfully and escalate when necessary

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in guest service or hospitality preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with point of sale systems and basic math skills
  • Ability to maintain a positive, professional demeanor under pressure
  • Team player with a collaborative attitude

Job Duties

  • Ensure that the foyer and host/hostess area is clean and neat at all times
  • Smile and maintain a positive attitude at all times
  • Greet Guests in a warm, friendly and professional manner
  • When possible, seek out Guests personally when their table is ready rather than making an announcement
  • Accompany Guests to their tables and let them know who their server will be
  • Inform Guests about new menu items/specials, entertainment and area events
  • Communicate with staff to ensure seating of Guests occurs as per the organized seating chart in an order that does not overload the kitchen or a particular server
