Job Requirements
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must perform physical activities including cleaning, climbing, lifting, walking and balancing
- Must be able to assess and anticipate guests needs
- Must possess basic computer skills to operate point of sale systems
- Must be able to speak and write effectively in English
- Flexibility to work varied shifts and occasional overtime
- Ability to handle guest complaints tactfully and escalate when necessary
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in guest service or hospitality preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with point of sale systems and basic math skills
- Ability to maintain a positive, professional demeanor under pressure
- Team player with a collaborative attitude
Job Duties
- Ensure that the foyer and host/hostess area is clean and neat at all times
- Smile and maintain a positive attitude at all times
- Greet Guests in a warm, friendly and professional manner
- When possible, seek out Guests personally when their table is ready rather than making an announcement
- Accompany Guests to their tables and let them know who their server will be
- Inform Guests about new menu items/specials, entertainment and area events
- Communicate with staff to ensure seating of Guests occurs as per the organized seating chart in an order that does not overload the kitchen or a particular server
