Job Description
Landry's Inc. is a renowned company operating in the hospitality and entertainment sector, recognized for delivering exceptional guest experiences across its diverse portfolio, including restaurants, retail establishments, amusements, and hotels. With a strong commitment to quality service and guest satisfaction, Landry's has built its reputation on fostering a positive and inclusive environment for both guests and employees. This commitment is exemplified by their dedicated team approach and the company’s continuous investment in training and professional growth opportunities for its workforce. Landry's embodies values that emphasize friendliness, accommodation, inclusivity, and respect, shaping the welcoming atmosphere experienced by visitors and ensuring employee satisfaction alike.
The role of Host at Landry's presents an exciting opportunity for individuals eager to join a winning team that prioritizes exemplary guest interaction from the moment guests enter the establishment. As a Host, the individual becomes a vital first point of contact, tasked with creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for the entire dining or amusement experience. This position doesn't just serve as a job; it is a career path offering structured programs for advancement and continuous development. Hosts at Landry's have access to unparalleled training programs designed to enhance their skills and prepare them for future leadership or specialized roles within the company.
Compensation for this tipped position starts at an hourly rate of $12.00, reflecting the company's commitment to competitive wages paired with gratuities that reward excellent service. Additionally, the role offers flexible schedules to accommodate various lifestyles and responsibilities, ensuring that employees can balance their professional and personal lives effectively. Beyond the financial aspects, Landry's provides generous employee discounts across dining, retail, amusement, and hotel offerings, enabling team members to enjoy the diverse experiences the company offers firsthand.
Employee well-being is a priority at Landry's, manifested through multiple benefit plans tailored to individual needs, paid time off or paid sick leave where applicable, and a culture that promotes volunteerism and community engagement through initiatives like Landry's League. The workplace culture is defined by positivity, respect, and a genuine appreciation of diversity, making it an inclusive space where all employees are valued and supported.
This position is ideal for candidates who are team players with a strong guest-first attitude, aspiring to live by the company’s 'Be FAIR' ideals: being Friendly, Accommodating, Inclusive, and Respectful. Those with prior restaurant experience are preferred, although enthusiasm, a passion for food and fun, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are equally important. Joining Landry's as a Host means becoming part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering memorable guest experiences while advancing one’s career within a supportive and growth-oriented company.
