The role of Host at Thrive Restaurant Group is an essential part of delivering a welcoming and positive guest experience. As a Host, you will be the first and last point of contact for guests, greeting them with enthusiasm and ensuring their seating and flow throughout the restaurant runs smoothly. This role requires a caring and hospitable approach, accommodating special guest needs and managing guest waitlists during busier periods. Hosting at Thrive is about more than just seating guests; it is about creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that aligns with the company’s core values. The Host contributes to the overall dining experience by assisting servers and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Thrive offers this position on a tip credit minimum wage basis plus tips, with the opportunity for consistent earnings based on availability and performance. Job Requirements

  • Ability to navigate throughout the restaurant and communicate with guests
  • ability to move and grasp items up to five pounds
  • ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • ability to bend and stoop regularly during the shift
  • must meet physical demands of the role including adequate vision
  • willingness to work according to Tennessee E-Verify state requirements where applicable

Job Qualifications

  • A desire to care for others, grow, and learn
  • a positive attitude
  • reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
  • mobility required during the entire shift
  • ability to transport and carry objects such as high-chairs up to 15 pounds multiple times a shift
  • ability to wipe down table tops, table legs, booth seats, and pick up debris from the floor
  • adequate vision to discern cleanliness and operate a touchscreen

Job Duties

  • Open the door for guests arriving and departing
  • accommodate special needs of guests such as boosters, high chairs, and disabilities
  • manage the waitlist when the restaurant is full
  • provide guest assistance to servers as needed
  • maintain a clean and organized work area and complete cleaning as assigned
  • invite all guests back for another experience
