Job Description

Thrive Restaurant Group is a well-established family-owned restaurant company with a rich history spanning over 50 years. Known for its dedication to community values and hospitality, Thrive has made a significant impact in the restaurant industry by fostering a warm, welcoming environment for both guests and employees. The company emphasizes a fun, family-oriented atmosphere where team members are encouraged to grow personally and professionally, learning the essentials of business, leadership, and hospitality. This approach has made Thrive Restaurant Group a preferred workplace for individuals who want to be part of a team that pours out generosity, care, and outstanding service. With a strong focus on giving back to the community, Thrive has cultivated a culture of kindness and respect, ensuring that every interaction contributes positively to the lives of its customers and staff.

One of the treasured brands under Thrive's umbrella is Carlos O’Kelly’s, a beloved restaurant that opened its doors in 1981. Carlos O’Kelly’s is renowned for its authentic Mex From Scratch cuisine, which features oven-baked dishes, legendary margaritas, house-made chips, and famous queso and salsa. The restaurant embodies the spirit of generosity and celebration, making every table gathering a memorable occasion. Thrive Restaurant Group continues to uphold these values, making it a cornerstone of their brand identity.

The role of Host at Thrive Restaurant Group is a vital position that directly influences the guest experience from the moment they enter the restaurant until they leave. As a Host, you will serve as the first impression of the restaurant, greeting guests warmly and facilitating a smooth and enjoyable seating process. This role requires a bright, welcoming smile and a genuine desire to make a positive difference by loving people with exceptional hospitality. You will manage the guest flow, accommodate special needs such as highchairs and boosters, and handle the waitlist during peak times with professionalism and care.

In addition to guest interaction, the Host contributes to the efficient operation of the restaurant by maintaining cleanliness and organization in their work area. Tasks include helping servers when needed and managing simple yet important tasks such as updating the feature board and inflating balloons for special occasions. The position is highly interactive and requires mobility throughout the shift, as well as the ability to carry and lift items up to 25 pounds and perform tasks related to physical cleanliness and maintenance.

The job offers compensation at the tip credit minimum wage plus tips, reflecting the role’s dynamic nature and guest interaction level. Thrive Restaurant Group is committed to providing equitable employment opportunities and encourages applicants who are eager to develop their skills and advance their careers in hospitality. If you are looking for a role that combines customer service, teamwork, and a family-oriented work environment, becoming a Host at Thrive Restaurant Group is an excellent opportunity to join a business that values generosity and community connection.
