Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival
  • Verify party size and determine special needs such as high chairs or special menus
  • Seat customers at appropriate tables or booths and introduce daily features
  • Suggest new menu items and provide initial beverage recommendations
  • Receive payments and make correct change following cash handling procedures
  • Assist with beverage service including specialty coffees
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of hostess station including stocking supplies
  • Handle incoming telephone calls and take to-go orders as needed
  • Assist service personnel with clearing and setting tables
  • Respond to and resolve guest complaints or suggestions, escalating to management when appropriate
  • Support other team members proactively without being asked
