These key front-of-house team members play a crucial role in setting the tone for guests’ dining experiences by providing friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient service in a high-energy environment. Hosts are responsible for greeting guests warmly, managing reservations and seating logistics, and maintaining an organized and welcoming entry area. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a host or customer service role preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Willingness to learn reservation software and procedures
- Commitment to upholding company standards and policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a host or in customer service preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of reservation and seating management systems a plus
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Reliable and punctual
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines
Job Duties
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient service in a fast-paced, high-standards environment
- Greet guests promptly and warmly as they arrive
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating in an organized and efficient manner
- Communicate wait times clearly and accurately to guests
- Escort guests to tables and provide menus
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and entry area
- Learn and utilize the reservation system to check availability, manage walk-ins, and support smooth service flow
- Coordinate with servers and managers to ensure balanced seating and smooth service flow
- Answer phones and respond to guest inquiries as needed
- Assist with takeout orders, guest requests, and front-of-house support as needed
- Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
- Communicate effectively with servers, bar, kitchen, support staff and management to ensure smooth service
- Uphold Harvest’s brand, service standards, hospitality culture and policies
- Assist with opening and closing duties and other side work
- Perform additional duties as needed to support restaurant operations
