The current opportunity is for a Host/Hostess role within the Sycuan Casino and Restaurant setting. This hourly position is crucial to the guest experience, serving as the initial point of contact for visitors and ensuring they feel welcomed and valued. The Host/Hostess will be responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing guest seating programs, and maintaining a clean and safe dining environment that upholds the Tribe's high standards. This role demands exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to manage various tasks in a fast-paced hospitality and gaming environment. Responsibilities also include verifying age for responsible alcohol service, supporting guest account transactions during shifts, and facilitating excellent guest relations by providing information and assistance promptly and courteously.

Job Requirements
- County of San Diego Food Handler Card
- high school diploma, certificate of completion, or GED preferred
- guest or hospitality service experience preferred
- restaurant server experience preferred
- casino experience preferred
- 6 months cash handling experience preferred
- ability to appear for work on time
- multi-lingual skills a plus

Job Duties
- Greets and seats guests
- verifies guest identification for age compliance
- enters guest count into seating program
- pages servers and guests
- responds to guest requests
- promotes guest relations by answering questions and providing information on menus and promotions
- maintains safe and sanitary dining areas by cleaning and setting tables
- stocks and cleans host/hostess stations
- processes accounting transactions during shift including cash handling and cashier drawer balancing
- ensures responsible alcohol service following policies in alcohol venues
- monitors guest alcohol consumption and stops service as required
- clears alcoholic containers and maintains venue cleanliness
