Job Description

AC Hotel Bentonville is a modern hotel situated in the vibrant heart of Northwest Arkansas. Drawing inspiration from European hospitality tradition, the hotel offers a blend of contemporary design and stylish accommodations that appeal to travelers seeking a refined experience. The property emphasizes a culture-driven environment where attention to detail and thoughtful service are at the forefront of the guest experience. Visitors can enjoy sleek, well-appointed rooms, a dynamic social scene, and exceptional food and beverage offerings that highlight the hotel’s commitment to quality. The atmosphere at AC Hotel Bentonville is both welcoming and sophisticated, designed to provide a superior stay whether for business or leisure travelers. The establishment employs a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about delivering excellent customer care in a setting that highlights modern amenities and tasteful décor.

Within this esteemed setting, the hotel is currently seeking to add a Host Person to its Food and Beverage department. Reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager, this non-exempt position is vital in ensuring a welcoming and seamless dining experience for guests. The Host Person acts as the first point of contact for restaurant guests and plays a crucial role in setting the tone for outstanding service throughout their visit. Key responsibilities include greeting guests with warmth and professionalism, managing the reservation system including the waiting list, and coordinating seatings to balance guest preferences and server workloads. AC Hotel Bentonville’s Host Person must possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, from operating the reservation software Open Table to effectively communicating guest needs to the service team. This role demands a thorough understanding of the menu, the restaurant floor plan, and the overall dining environment to anticipate and mitigate any seating delays.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment while upholding the hotel’s standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest interaction. They should be capable of managing guest inquiries by phone and in person, resolving service issues with grace, and supporting other dining room staff when necessary. Physical stamina is also required, as the role involves standing for extended periods and carrying trays or other items up to 40 pounds. The position suits individuals who value professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to delivering memorable dining experiences. AC Hotel Bentonville offers training and continuous opportunities for learning within the hospitality sector, making this role an excellent starting point or stepping stone for a career in hotel and restaurant service.
