Job Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and promptly as they arrive
  • Seat guests based on availability, party size, and special requests
  • Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor throughout the guest's experience
  • Manage reservations, confirming details with guests and updating reservation systems
  • Maintain the waitlist and communicate estimated wait times
  • Notify servers and managers when tables are ready
  • Provide guests with information about the restaurant, including menu details and wait times
  • Answer phone calls and assist with reservation inquiries
  • Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally
  • Maintain an organized and clean host stand
  • Coordinate with kitchen and server team for seating arrangements
  • Ensure effective communication with servers post seating
  • Assist guests with coat checks or directions
  • Collaborate with other team members for smooth operations
  • Assist team members during peak periods
  • Ensure front-of-house area is clean and presentable
  • Keep track of guest flow to minimize wait times
