As a host-busser at Islands, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our guests' experience from the moment they arrive until they leave. This role is ideal for energetic and outgoing individuals who have a passion for guest service and enjoy creating a welcoming atmosphere. Host-bussers are the first and last team members guests interact with, and their upbeat approach is critical to ensuring a smooth flow of guests throughout their visit. You will work closely with servers to maintain clean and orderly tables, manage seating rotations, and handle the wait list with professionalism and a smile. Your duties will also include maintaining the cleanliness of the dining room and restrooms, completing opening and closing tasks, and contributing to weekly maintenance activities. Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Availability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic English communication skills
  • Willingness to maintain cleanliness standards

Job Duties

  • Acknowledge guests with an enthusiastic welcome and appreciative good-bye
  • Positively interact with guests as they enter and ensure proper seating rotation and wait list procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness of the dining room and the restrooms
  • Complete opening or closing duties and weekly maintenance
  • Work closely with servers to clean tables and control the flow of guests
  • Manage guest seating to optimize service efficiency
  • Assist in creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere for guests
