Job Requirements

Minimum one year full service restaurant experience or equivalent
Accurate mathematic skills
Knowledge of menu and specials
Familiarity with restaurant layout including table and station numbers
Meet personal schedule requirements punctually
Be warm, sincere, outgoing in personality
Stand for long periods of time while on duty
Move safely throughout all areas of the restaurant
Work amidst noise in confined crowded space
Move chairs, transport high chairs and booster seats to tables as needed
Work nights, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

Minimum one year of full service restaurant experience or equivalent
Accurate mathematic skills
Knowledge of menu and daily specials
Familiarity with restaurant layout including table and station numbers
Warm, sincere, outgoing personality
Ability to stand for extended periods
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
Ability to move safely through crowded, noisy environments

Job Duties

Greet and seat guests promptly and courteously
Answer phones, take messages and manage reservation bookings
Maintain an accurate waitlist and communicate wait times effectively
Ensure dining room seating is evenly distributed among servers
Keep host desk and waiting area clean and organized
Coordinate with bus staff for washroom cleaning and dining area maintenance
Sell and account for gift certificate sales accurately
Adjust table arrangements to accommodate party sizes
Interact with guests pleasantly and with good humor
Communicate seating and waitlist information to guests efficiently
