Job Requirements

  • Consistently arrives to work as scheduled, prepared to assume shift responsibilities
  • consistently arrives to work well groomed and in proper uniform
  • greets and provides direction to all guests, delivery drivers and vendors promptly and hospitably
  • answers phone calls professionally and promptly
  • presents menus to guests as they are seated
  • responsibly manages host cash drawer
  • reports items left by guests, staff or vendors to manager immediately
  • demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of menu and seating rotation
  • ensures all take-out and delivery orders are accurate and presented promptly
  • assists FOH staff in bussing and station stocking duties
  • assists with beverage refills and clearing plates
  • expresses gratitude to guests as they leave
  • complies with company policies and procedures
  • follows management directions including cleaning, sanitation and safety measures
  • conducts daily cleaning projects effectively
  • complies with break policies
  • manages wait list and quotes wait times accurately
  • able to work various shifts including late hours, holidays and weekends
  • works well in fast paced and pressure environments

Job Qualifications

  • Able to obtain valid Food Handler's Card and OLCC Server Permit
  • able to arrive to work on time, ready to start a scheduled shift
  • displays a basic knowledge of hospitality, service and restaurant operations
  • displays a friendly, professional and helpful attitude towards coworkers, management, delivery drivers, vendors, and guests at all times
  • able to accurately perform basic mathematics
  • ability to accurately verify, count, track and manage payments from various forms of payment
  • ability to use Micros POS system quickly and accurately
  • capable of maintaining a friendly smile and positive demeanor at all times
  • demonstrates good time management skills
  • able to explain and perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
  • practices proper hand-washing and food handling techniques as per health regulations
  • follows OLCC regulations and Pastini House Policies regarding alcohol sales

Job Duties

  • Greet and seat guests
  • take orders in person, over the phone, online and on tablets
  • accurately pack take-out orders
  • manage deliveries
  • run orders for curbside pick-up
  • clean, sanitize and disinfect
  • follow all procedures as outlined in training manuals and employee, service, alcohol, and safety handbooks
