Job Requirements
- Consistently arrives to work as scheduled, prepared to assume shift responsibilities
- consistently arrives to work well groomed and in proper uniform
- greets and provides direction to guests, delivery drivers, and vendors promptly and hospitably
- answers phone calls in a professional and timely manner
- presents menus to guests as they are seated
- accurately manages host cash drawer
- reports items left by guests or staff immediately to management
- demonstrates knowledge of menu and seating rotation
- ensures take-out and delivery orders are correct and presented promptly
- assists FOH staff with bussing and station stocking
- facilitates prompt clearing and resetting of tables
- assists with water and beverage refills and clearing plates
- says thank-you and goodbye to every guest
- complies with employee handbook policies
- follows management directions positively for cleaning, safety, and sanitation
- conducts daily cleaning projects effectively
- complies with break policies and accurately clocks in and out
- manages wait list and quotes wait times accurately
- able to work varied shifts including late hours, holidays, and weekends
- works well in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
Job Qualifications
- Is able to obtain valid Food Handler's Card and OLCC Server Permit
- able to arrive to work on time, ready to start a scheduled shift
- displays a basic knowledge of hospitality, service, and restaurant operations
- maintains a friendly, professional, and helpful attitude towards coworkers, management, delivery drivers, vendors, and guests
- able to accurately perform basic mathematics
- ability to verify, count, and manage various forms of payments
- proficient in using Micros POS system quickly and accurately
- demonstrates good time management skills
- capable of performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- practices proper hand-washing and food handling according to health department guidelines
- complies with safety protocols such as distancing and sanitizing as directed by management
- follows OLCC regulations and Pastini House Policies regarding alcohol sales
Job Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly and courteously
- manage seating rotation and wait list accurately
- take orders in person, over the phone, online, and on tablets
- accurately pack and present take-out and delivery orders
- manage host cash drawer and process payments using Micros POS system
- assist front-of-house staff with bussing, station stocking, and clearing tables
- maintain cleanliness by performing daily cleaning and sanitation tasks
- comply with all policies and procedures outlined in training and employee handbooks
- follow OLCC regulations and Pastini policies for alcohol sales
- handle guest inquiries and direct delivery drivers and vendors professionally
- monitor and report any items left behind by guests or staff to management
- assist with water and beverage refills and clearing of plates and glassware
- say thank-you and goodbye to guests as they leave
- support management with additional requests related to cleaning, safety, and sanitation
- ensure compliance with break policies and timekeeping requirements
- maintain a positive and friendly demeanor at all times
